This course deals with the skills and knowledge required to follow key hygiene procedures which apply in hospitality and tourism enterprises. It is particularly relevant to staff working in kitchens, housekeeping, food and beverage and tour operations involving the preparation of food.

ECG commenced operations as a Commonwealth Education Centre in 1974 under the name of West Gippsland and Latrobe Valley Community Education Centre and provided teacher resources to the local schools. In the 1990s the funding for the Commonwealth Education Centres altered and the organisation became involved in the delivery of labour market programs and began operating as a Registered Training Provider. The organization is committed to ensuring that it has a responsive structure with the flexibility to provide professional growth, stability and support for its staff. ECG has two major Business Units � Employment Services and Projects and Education and Training, These Business Units are supported by the Corporate Services Unit which includes Administration, Reception and Finance.
