The Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Honours) aims to provide graduates with an excellent understanding of the breadth of their discipline in Biomedical Science and an awareness of the career opportunities available. Graduates will be equipped with the skills for life long learning, an essential professional attribute in this rapidly evolving field.

The coursework component of the course provides students with essential theoretical knowledge, while the research project provides the practical skills necessary to provide a strong foundation in research.
1.Students must formally undertake Enrolment on or before the date prescribed in each year.

2.The University will publish comprehensive and accurate information regarding Course rules and requirements in the University handbooks.

3.Each Faculty will appoint enrolment officers to provide Course advice and information on Course rules and approve courses of study that comply with Course requirements.

4.Students are responsible for:

•planning their pattern of study to meet Course requirements
•ensuring their Enrolment details as recorded by the University are correct
•ensuring they complete their Course within the maximum period for the Course.

5.International students must ensure that their Enrolment complies with their visa requirements.
The Geelong campus at Waurn Ponds is situated approximately eight kilometres west of the city of Geelong.The residences are part of the campus and are set in a picturesque landscape close to all of the University’s main facilities; Peter Thwaites Lecture Theatre (LT1), library, computer labs, dining room and shops. Sporting facilities such as the tennis courts, ovals and the KD Stewart Centre which houses squash courts, basketball courts and a gymnasium are all within a short walking distance from the residences. A daily bus service operates from the University to the city and surrounding areas.

On-campus accommodation is provided for 447 students in a co-educational and multi-cultural environment. Each resident is accommodated in their own furnished bedroom and all buildings have communal lounge areas, kitchens and bathrooms. Laundry facilities are also available.
