Ideally situated in cosmopolitan Prahran and in close proximity to popular Chapel Street, the Prahran campus is renowned for its cultural and creative programs. A 119-seat theatre provides a space for performing arts students to stage a number of plays throughout the year. With so many arts courses, Prahran is often the setting for a number of student exhibitions, particularly in the Faculty of Design and PB buildings. Since opening in February 2001, the National Institute of Circus Arts (NICA) has been a centre of teaching excellence for professional training in contemporary circus arts. It is the only institute in Australia offering a degree in circus arts and previous graduates have gained employment with companies such as Cirque du Soleil and Circus Oz.
