Open Colleges' Certificate II in Horticulture is a nationally recognised qualification under the RTF03 Amenity Horticulture Training Package. It focuses on competencies in a number of areas relating to specialised horticultural knowledge and broader business skills.

You will learn to recognise plants, undertake planting tasks, use correct pruning techniques and collect plant specimens. You will also acquire retail skills relevant to a garden centre environment and undertake a mandatory work placement. Successful completion of the course will equip you for employment in positions such as nursery assistant, nursery worker, assistant to groundskeeper and assistant to horticulturalist.
