About the institution
This 5 week course (from the 10th of January until the 11 of February) gives you basic skills in: common core, hospitality knowledge, health and safety, security and hygiene. It also teaches you the fundamentals of cookery which include: appetisers and salads, stocks, soups and sauces, vegetables eggs and farinaceous dishes. Use basic methods of cookery and prepare sandwiches.

During this course you will also need to apply kitchen practices servicing the public in the unit of prepare, cook and serve food for food service
There are three main ways to apply for a course at the William Angliss Institute.
1. Applications through VTAC are required for Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree courses
2. Application direct to William Angliss Institute (Certificate I, II, III courses – send your application direct to the Institute)
3. Application through an AAC (Australian Apprenticeship Centre) apprentice and trainees only
Depending on the course and the time of year you want to commence your course will determine the application process you need to take.
