This qualification will provide you with skills and knowledge used in the motor sport industry sector. You will learn skills in inspecting and servicing engines, braking systems, cooling systems, steering and suspension systems, carrying out repairs to single electrical circuits and testing, servicing and charging batteries. You will also learn how to apply safe work practices and operate in a motor sport environment.
This qualification is designed to provide the skills and knowledge used in the motor sport industry, and an introduction to the technical aspects of preparing a vehicle for motorsport competition. You will learn skills of inspecting and servicing engines, braking systems, cooling systems, steering and suspension systems, carrying out repairs to single electrical circuits and simple diagnostic procedures.You will also learn how to apply safe work practices and operate in a motor sport environment.
If a course of is available you can enrol anytime at Challenger Institute. However enrolments for our full and part time award courses are conducted twice a year prior to each semester.
If you miss the deadline in submitting an application for study in a popular full time course, a safety net application will be considered if there are places left in the course you selected after the official enrolment period.
Students who wish to continue studies in their current learning pathway may be able to enrol directly into the next level of their qualification if it requires the Minimum Entrance Requirements (M.E.R.) ONLY to be addressed. These students would normally fall into the following three categories;
•Currently studying full time at Challenger Institute.
•Currently studying part time at Challenger Institute and wish to transfer to full time.
•Currently a year 12 student studying VET for School Students program or participating in an Auspicing agreement with Challenger Institute.
