This qualification will provide the practical skills and knowledge to take charge of a commercial vessel of less than 12 metres in length operating within the limits of sheltered and inshore waters, within 15 nautical miles of the coast. You will learn skill in nautical navigation, maintenance and engineering, marine radio operation, first aid, and safety at sea.
General Enrolments for all qualifications offered at Durack Institute of Technology take place on:
1. Semester 1 General Enrolments 22 & 23 January
2. Students can also apply for a place in a course through TAFE Admissions.
This qualification is also available via Flexible Learning. What this means is that you can complete part or all of the qualification at a time and pace that suits you from your own location. You can enrol in this Flexible Learning qualification at any time of the year. You can also come see us personally at Training Support Services located in A Block (Geraldton Campus).
Currently enrolled students who wish to continue studying the same qualification will be advised by their lecturers to re-enrol towards the end of the semester.
