As an apprentice you will undertake baking training in one of three streams: Cake and Pastry, Bread, or Combined. Pastrycooks produce a mouthwatering range of bakery products such as cakes, pies, pasties, buns, biscuits, cookies and confectionery. Some pastrycooks specialise in chocolate-making or cake decorating, pastry baking, fillings, or sponge baking. Breadmakers can bake in small bakery businesses like hot bread shops, in-store bakeries or large plant bakeries. The combined course multi-skills our graduates, making them incredibly valuable to a huge range of businesses, from small family-run shops to large supermarket chains. You could even open your own business.

There are three main ways to apply for a course at the William Angliss Institute. 1. Applications through VTAC are required for Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree courses 2. Application direct to William Angliss Institute (Certificate I, II, III courses – send your application direct to the Institute) 3.
