The Certificate III in Sterilisation Services is a nationally recognised qualification suited to health care workers employed in sterilising departments or services who are either new to the role or wish to enhance their career prospects.
The course covers safe waste handling and management, the correct procedures for handling reusable medical equipment, and how to safely undertake disinfection processes, including thermal and chemical disinfection. You will also learn to correctly load and operate sterilisation equipment, prepare and pack sterilised items, and proper handling, storage and maintenance of sterile stock.
Students are required to enroll via Cengage Education's website and pay for their course via Cengage Education's secured payment system.
