This qualification gives you relevant theoretical and practical knowledge in: financial administration, general administration, interpersonal communication, product skills and advice, food handlers, computing, responsible serving of alcohol, introductory foods, coffee service, occupational health and safety, workplace diversity and, customer service.

You will also gain a broad understanding of: business marketing, e-business, interpersonal communication, general administration,

occupational health and safety, learning and development, wine studies and hotel reception services.
There are three main ways to apply for a course at the William Angliss Institute.
1. Applications through VTAC are required for Certificate IV, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree courses
2. Application direct to William Angliss Institute (Certificate I, II, III courses – send your application direct to the Institute)
3. Application through an AAC (Australian Apprenticeship Centre) apprentice and trainees only
Depending on the course and the time of year you want to commence your course will determine the application process you need to take.
William Angliss Institute is a dedicated training provider for the hospitality, tourism and foods industries, delivering a range of courses from four-year degrees, Australian Accredited Apprenticeships to short courses.
Each year over 15,000 students including 1000 international students are trained at the main campus in Melbourne, Victoria. The Institute also delivers training direct to industry partners through offices interstate, four joint venture campuses in China and international consultancy projects around the world. The Institute also contributes to a number of ongoing local community programs.
As the Government endorsed Specialist Centre for Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts, William Angliss Institute works with industry leaders to develop innovative training solutions that meets the needs of today's industry, including membership and affiliation with a range of Australian and international industry and educational organisations.
In 2007, 96.3% of William Angliss Institute graduates found work, or went on to further study within six months of completing their course (National Centre for Vocational Education Research - Student Outcomes Survey 2007). This success rate is approximately 7% greater than the State and National average for all vocational, education and training providers.
