The objective of the Construction Industry based training course is to establish a credible and consistent basic instruction in OHS matters as they pertain to building construction sites. Construction induction training aims to provide people new to construction work with an understanding of: Their rights and responsibilities under OHS law, Common hazards and risks in the construction industry, Basic risk management principles, and The standard of behavior expected of workers and supervisors on construction sites: Learning Outcomes, Identify and explain OHS legislative requirements, Identify construction hazards and control measures, Identify OHS communication and reporting processes, Identify OHS incident response procedures. Participants must attend the full duration of the course and complete assessment activities in order to obtain their certificate of attainment.
