NMIT provides a targeted statewide programme of specially designed Farm Chemical Users Courses enabling qualification for Agricultural Chemical Users Permit registration. The completion of this course in farm chemical use is an essential requirement to gain an Agricultural Chemical User's Permit (ACUP) in the primary industries.

Users of agricultural chemicals are required to hold an ACUP permit for application of:
* Schedule 7 agricultural chemicals;
* Certain ester herbicide formulations;
* Atrazine soil residual herbicide;

Further, it is most advisable that agricultural chemical users are familiar with legislation relating to off-label use, pesticide drift, records keeping and Chemical Control Areas. Boomsprayer calibration is an essential facet of the course.

Participants requiring a Commercial Operators Licence should contact Sarah Callahan for course requirements on +61 3 9269 8911.
Students should download the application form from NMIT's website, complete and email or post the form to NMIT.
