This is a bridging/preparatory qualification which enables learners to who are not yet work ready to extend their knowledge and skills in communication, numeracy, technology, study skills and personal development. The course in GATE - Introductory is a transitional general education course developed to assist learners who are not work ready to extend their knowledge and skills in the general education field prior to entering a range of vocational training programs, employment or community participation. The national recognisation code for this course is 51685.
Applicants should complete the application form and attach photocopies of the following documents: Year 9, 10, 11 and12 school reports (as applicable); proof of work experience (references, pay slips, Group Certificates etc); their resume; proof of Australian/New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency (if they were not born in Australia or New Zealand); and any other supporting documentation which they believe may enhance their application. They should send the applications to Swan TAFE Applications, PO Box 1336, Midland, WA 6936 or drop the application to their nearest Swan TAFE campus.
