This course contains a mixture of formal (class-room style) and informal (on-the-job-experience) training delivery covering; underpinning knowledge and skills about duty of care, safety video and personal protective equipment; equipment safety and specific theory about notifiable accidents, types of machinery, pre-start and post-start checklists, hazards and hazards control, whistle controls, calculate areas and weights, inspect chains, webbing and wire rope slings and calculate SWL loads; practical operation under supervision introduction; on job practical experience and theory and practical assessment.
