The Course in Volunteer Tutoring aims to prepare you for both classroom and one-on-one situations.
Your training will enable you to assist the following clients:
- migrants learning the English language
- in literacy and/or numeracy
- within community contexts
- trainees and apprentices in literacy, numeracy or vocational skills
- students with special needs.
This course may also provide the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and attitudes required for successful volunteer tutoring of adults who require support in the area of English as a Second Language (ESL) or Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN).
