This is a free program. Printed learning resources cost $15.00. A $35 Administration and Utility Fee will also be charged at the time of enrolment which is valid for an entire calendar year. This is a government-funded program, and concessions may be available for eligible students. Refunds will only be provided after enrolment if requested prior to start of study, unless exceptional circumstances exist.

About the institution
The Course in Volunteer Tutoring aims to prepare you for both classroom and one-on-one situations.

Your training will enable you to assist the following clients:
- migrants learning the English language
- in literacy and/or numeracy
- within community contexts
- trainees and apprentices in literacy, numeracy or vocational skills
- students with special needs.

This course may also provide the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and attitudes required for successful volunteer tutoring of adults who require support in the area of English as a Second Language (ESL) or Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN).
This study option requires an application to be submitted and assessed prior to enrolment. Please download a BNIT application form, or call our Customer Service Contact Centre on 131 248 for further information.

There are several options to enrol for this course. You may enrol over the phone, online (full payment is required) or in person. Students should fill the complete application form and send to Brisbane North Institute of TAFE, Locked Mail Bag Eagle Farm BC QLD 4009.
