The Diploma of Children's Services (Early childhood education & care) provides students with the required skills to undertake program planning and implementation in early childhood services. It also includes a comprehensive range of management competencies designed to meet the complex challenges faced by those involved in the day-to-day management of childcare facilities.
The course is delivered by Open Colleges (formerly Cengage Education) in partnership with the International Child Care College, a highly respected industry leader in childcare education. A compulsory work placement is included, which will enable students to acquire useful 'real world' experience. In most states, this qualification is the highest required at director or service manager level.
