Situated between spectacular mountains and some of the best surfing beaches in Australia, Sunshine Coast TAFE is conveniently located just one hour's drive north of Queensland's capital, Brisbane. The Diploma of Sport and Recreation provides students with skills to work in the sport and fitness industry to manage the operational, administrative and resource requirements of a sport and recreation enterprise. Coaching and instructor training is also an integral part of this course.

This state-of-the-art facility is located minutes from beautiful Mooloolaba beach, relaxed surfside cafes, vibrant nightlife and shopping precincts. At the Mooloolaba Centre students can choose to study from a huge range of programs that can lead to exciting careers, including; English language (ELICOS), events management, fitness, sport and recreation, sports massage, cookery, hairdressing, hospitality management, information technology, tourism and travel. Facilities include a training restaurant, bistro and bar, a training hairdressing salon and gymnasium. These facilities provide valuable on-the-job training for our students and value-for-money services for the general public and students/staff on campus. A flexible learning centre is situated next to the library, providing computer access for students. The café is a popular meeting place for students, and is renowned for its good coffee. The International Students Office is located in the same building and is open 4 days per week.
