About the institution
This program provides you with training in many aspects of veterinary emergency and critical care nursing including assisting with the preparation of emergency and critical care protocols, performing pre-hospital evaluations, applying and maintaining first aid to sustain life, performing initial evaluations, carrying out triage, stabilizing patients under veterinarian direction, completing history and secondary surveys, preparing for and monitoring critical care surgical patients and discharging
patients.

This program is for those currently employed at a facility that offers dedicated emergency and critical care veterinary services. Participants will need the support of their supervising emergency and critical care veterinarian. To qualify for this program you must have successfully completed the IV in Veterinary Nursing.
