This course is aimed at a wide spectrum of students at Hawker College, in particular those who are not applying for university entrance. Students engage with a variety of texts including: novels, plays, poetry, film, multimedia and web based. Students who study English A include those who: need an English A major for future study or training, have chosen to study English to fulfill the requirements of the Year 12 Certificate, will seek entry to the workforce at the completion of Year 12, have specific literacy needs which they wish to improve.
