About the institution
This course focuses on the pronunciation skills needed to communicate clearly and fluently in workplace interactions. In Unit 1 students will learn how to: group words into speech chunks; stress key words to highlight meaning; use correct syllable stress. In Unit 2 students will learn how to pronounce English sounds accurately; use clear vowels and diphthongs in stressed syllables; use the schwa use linking and the schwa to speak fluently. In Unit 3 they will learn how to listen for and interpret the meaning of intonation patterns; to imitate examples of intonation in workplace situations and assess their own stress and intonation.
