This unit enables students to review the basic grammatical terminology and the structure of the English language, both from traditional and modern linguistic perspectives. The emphasis is on preparation for studying Greek, Hebrew, modern languages or linguistics. Topics include: the building blocks of language; morphology and syntax; differences between traditional and modern linguistic approaches to grammar; grammatical terminology.

Tabor Adelaide is housed in historic heritage listed buildings which are National Trust listed and have served in the past as an orphanage and more recently an Education Centre. The campus is located within three kilometers of the Adelaide CBD on a main bus route. It is located in a pleasant residential area and is surrounded by beautiful parklands.
