The aim of this program is to ensure participants have the skills and knowledge to operate a counter balanced forklift (LF) and meet the requirements of the Victorian Work cover Authority. The program examines key aspects in conducting routine checks, planning work, checking controls and equipment, load shifting and shutting down and securing equipment. The course can be conducted at one of Journey Management's Skills Training Centres or the participant's Workplace. Some important topics are: Equipment checking and assessing operational capability, Overview of Forklift or Reach Truck operation, Review and refresher of specialised equipment operation.
All candidates need to bring photographic identification, two (2) passport sized photos, wear suitable clothing and closed toe shoes.
