Students are exposed to new angles on familiar areas and are encouraged to explore their own experiences and make contrasts with their own and other cultures. This program is available in Full Time and Part Time. The program is mainly designed for people who are learning English for general, practical, or cultural purposes. It is also being used as a preparatory language course for the students who have not reached a language level sufficient to enroll in any of the AICL English for special purposes courses. The General English Program uses predominantly British English, but also incorporates Australian and American English as well. The AICL General English Program consists of a number of different components Core Lessons in Grammar, Fluency Presentation, Vocabulary and Pronunciation, Skills Lessons in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking, Choices of Electives and Self-Activities Conversation, Computer Studies, Listening Lab, Social Clubs, Weekly Sport, and Weekly Special Class such as Business English, Australian Customs and Idioms, Drama, Literature & Stories and Media Studies.
Students must submit an Enrollment Fee of $200 which is non-refundable, the students must submit all their academic qualifications, evidence of their English language proficiency; and main page of their passport. All documents that are not in English should have certified translations.Await notification from AICL when A Letter of Offer will be sent if their application is successful. The LOE will indicate the course that have been offered, the fees payable, and the course commencement date.Send a copy of the bank transfer to AICL Accounts Department and please include their full name on every transmission. Upon receipt of the payment, their place at AICL will be confirmed. An electronic Confirmation of Enrollment will be sent to the DIAC office in their home country, and a hard copy will be sent to them representative for their student visa application.
