This course helps the students to learn how to blow glass as they do in Venice: with long pipes, lung power and molten glass. Students will be starting with a small paperweight or perfume bottle, and work their way up to make a large blown glass object of their own design. This class is limited to 4 students, each having approximately 4 hours of individual blowing time. Grinding and finishing glass, as well as watching the progress of other students, also forms part of the course. Course fee includes use of all equipment and clear glass. The physical demands of this course require, at minimum, an average level of fitness and an ability to bear heat.
