This course will introduce students to the theory and practice of designing and operating lighting and sound for a performance. The study day will explore rigging and patching lights, identification of lanterns and a demonstration of operating a lighting desk. The afternoon session will cover sound operation as well as how to work with sound equipment safely, including microphones, cables, amplifiers, speakers. Year 11 & 12 Entertainment students.
Applicants must have completed a NIDA TV Presenting short course.Student must include a $60 audition fee (including GST) in Australian dollars. Projects must be brought to the interview, do not send them in advance. Acting applicants are required to print the monologues for the audition from the NIDA website.
