This program will explore the philosophies of Chinese Medicine, naming and identification of various herbs, the effect of individual herbs and the formulation of various herbal formula to treat various conditions. At the end of this elective students will have gained basic knowledge and skills to apply Chinese Herbal Medicine in a limited number of health conditions. This elective may form the first unit of the proposed Chinese Herbal Medicine course to be offered by the AIHM in the near future.
Students must send in the completed application forms to Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine, 862 North Lake Road, Cockburn Central PO Box 3079, Jandakot, WA, Australia, 6964 along with the copy of the Birth Certificate, or the first few pages of the passport that contain the students personal information. Two character references (obtained from the head of a school, teacher, priest, doctor or their health professional, lawyer, responsible officer of a recognised volunteer organisation, head of their organisation/workplace) should be enclosed. Copies of relevant educational certificates should be attached along with two recent passport size photographs. A fee of $75.00 should be enclosed as cash or a cheque/money order payable to Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine.
