This course aims to introduce students to the basic skills of the Japanese language and to familiarise them with the formation of written Japanese. Students will learn the hiragana script. Students will also acquire basic understanding of some of the norms and values of Japanese society and obtain knowledge of the language and behavior as expressed in and reflected by the language.
