This two-year course provides in-depth study in the chosen program, adding significantly to a relevant undergraduate degree for students with no or minimal independent research experience. In the first year they obtain training and understanding of research technique and the writing of research documents while undertaking coursework units to deepen their knowledge. In the second year they progress to higher level units and undertake independent research.
Students undertake an approved list of units totalling 96 points by way of coursework and dissertation. The first year of the course (48 points)comprises four six-point undergraduate units (24 points) and a research project (24 points). The second year (48 points) comprises four six-point master's level units (24 points) and a research dissertation (24 points).
All coursework units and the research topic are chosen in consultation with appropriate faculty staff.
