This course is held over two days and covers the maintenance, preparation and operation of handheld chainsaws in a work environment. It requires the application of skills and knowledge to cross cut fallen timber using appropriate cutting techniques to maximise volume and quality recovery.
Students should complete the application form and attach documents such as: translated and certified copies of academic qualifications, English language assessment and a summary of any work experience. Applicants must attach a non-refundable application fee of A$100 by bank draft to South West Institute of TAFE or the payment can also be made by credit card by completing the relevant section on the Application Form.
