This course is for people who operate existing production units or who are considering converting to organic methods. It is also for people considering employment in organic enterprises. The course provides vocational education and training in practical and technical skills, and the underpinning knowledge required to use sustainable organic agricultural practices, which maintain a balance of productivity with low impact on the environment to preserve the ecological quality of land for future use. This program will allow them to choose a program of study which develops skills and knowledge in managing organic production programs, producing marketable goods to meet customer specifications, applying quality assurance practices to industry standards, and maintaining the sustainability of the enterprise according to national organic standards. This course has been developed to meet the increasing demand for organic produce, address issues of sustainable agricultural production, and to ensure conformity to national standards for organic and biodynamic production. This is a Statement of attainment program.
This campus is a major centre for access and general education and trade programs as well as courses in business, hospitality, information technology and management. The campus specialises in bricklaying, children's services, communication and media, design, digital media, fitness, human resources management, refrigeration and air conditioning and welfare courses, with some at diploma level.
