This course provides knowledge for potential owner-builders an awareness of legislative and statutory requirements in preparing, planning and managing Class 1 and Class 10 residential building projects as defined in the Building Code of Australia.

Wollongong Campus is the Institute's largest campus. All faculties have full representation at this campus, which is located adjacent to the University of Wollongong's main campus. The University and the Institute have established firm articulation arrangements permitting students to easily transfer to University programs. The Institute's Information Services Unit and innovative Teaching and Learning Resources Unit are located at this campus. Child care is also available for children aged between 0 - 5 years.
