Theory topics include getting organised, compliance with regulations, finance, design, energy considerations, insurance, tax obligations, permits and site safety. The practical component consists of an individual project involving a complete take-off of materials and labour to estimate their costs. Topics include material selection, choosing tradespeople, quotes, making payments, job scheduling and cash flow.

The campus boasts a $5.6M Business Centre, fully operational student training restaurant, and a hair and beauty student training centre, well equipped fitness centre, library, cafeteria and bookshop. The Centre of Integrated Health and Community Well-being features a simulation laboratory for a full range of health and aged care programs.
