This course offers students the opportunity to learn about grooming in a number of different ways through a combination of theory and practical work; through lecturers and seminars; through observation of demonstration work; through practical experience; through working individually and in small and large groups; through discussion and pooling knowledge. Students are expected to provide their own dogs for practicals. Many students are satisfied with just observing and learning grooming theory; however, if they want to gain as much hands on experience as possible during the course then it is in their interest to locate and bring dogs to the course. This course is not designed as a free clipping and grooming service and please remember that animal is their responsibility throughout the session, it is expected that all animals are suitably restrained and kept under control at all times.
