This course focuses on the development of work related skills for the retail environment through practical applied learning in the College Coffee Shop. Flexible delivery of theoretical knowledge is through a series of electronic tasks on the MyClasses Website. Merchandising, marketing, communication skills for a retail environment, stock control and retail technology are featured. Students gain competence in nationally recognized competencies and may elect to study half or full units. Structured workplace leaning forms an integral part of training and assessment. Competencies gained contribute to the attainment of Certificate I and II in Retail Operations.
