This course helps the students to learn the fundamental principals of sailing. This course is suitable for beginners, as well as those with some previous experience, this course offers practical experience in manoeuvring under sail, safety at sea, sailing terminology, sailing rules, basic navigation, knots and more. The course will provide the student with an understanding of what is required of the mariner prior to leaving the dock and his/her responsibilities whilst on the water. All instruction will be on board the vessel, both at the dock and under sail on Sydney Harbour. Each student will be issued with a set of course notes detailing the days activity. Students are advised to wear warm comfortable clothing and non marking footwear. They should bring packed Lunch, Water, Hat, Sunscreen.
