About the institution
This course is for people working in or wanting to work in food preparation in any hospitality, community food service or health area. Students will learn how to apply and maintain hygiene practices in a variety of food preparation areas. They will become familiar with the government Acts and Regulations relevant to food safety. They will also learn how to minimise food spoilage and food poisoning, apply sound food hygiene and food safety practices and use correct clearing, sanitising, pest control and garbage disposal procedures.
