About the institution
This course is for all employees carrying out underground cable installation and maintenance. The course topics are locate and describe underground construction, duct construction, underground cable types, site excavation, pit and pipe installation, determine priority of service, cable hauling, joint location, joint location (min. 50 pr cable), joint enclosure and fit underground cable, test cable joint, replace service, working environment hazard identification, safe working environment and appropriate procedures for manual handling. On successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Results.
