This course gives taking advantage of the whale watching season in Sydney, when great humpback whales swim slowly north along Sydney�s coastline. Students will learn about whale's migration patterns as they visit some of the best places to spot these magnificent creatures. The day includes a 2km bush walk through the Royal National Park, stopping at various vantage points including Stanwell Tops and the whale watching station within Botany Bay National Park. A reasonable level of fitness is required for the bush walking component of this tour � steep climbing on a good trail. Students should note that this is peak time for whale watching, however, sightings cannot be guaranteed. They should bring comfortable walking shoes, Sun hat & sunscreen, Bottle of water, Packed lunch and drinks, Rain jacket � just in case, Optional: insect repellent, binoculars, camera and daypack.
