The Youth Alcohol and Drug Day Program called the Zones Program provides weekly vocational, education, recreation and personal development programs to young people linked with drug treatment services aged 12-21 years.
Barwon Youth (BAYSA Ltd.) was established in 1981 in response to the burgeoning numbers of young people from the Barwon Region being held in metropolitan Melbourne Youth Training Centres. As part of the deinstitutionalization strategy of the government of the day significant efforts to reintegrate young people to their own communities commenced.
