Postgraduate arts students and graduates at the start of their creative careers can win a trip to the UK plus $8,000 to boost their career as part of the 2011 Realise Your Dream program.
The British Council's Realise Your Dream award is aimed at helping young Australian creatives to develop their career through connecting with a large network of UK practitioners.
Over the past nine years, 40 awardees have travelled to the UK as part of the program and in 2011, five prizes are available. Winners receive a return Virgin Atlantic economy flight to London, $8000 in cash as a NAB Cash Passport and a tailored professional development program.
Realise Your Dream is open to citizens and permanent residents of Australia working within the first 10 years of their career.
Applicants may work in advertising; animation; architecture; broadcasting; communications; craft; design; digital media; fashion; film; literature; music; object design; performing arts; photography; publishing; visual art… or any other industry where creativity plays an important role.
Entry is through an online application, followed by interviews for selected finalists. Entries should be submitted by 6pm AEST Friday 4 July 2011.
