GUYRA ADULT LEARNING ASSOCIATION

Not only can you have your printing and photocopying needs taken care of, but where in Guyra can you surf the web, check your email, become a member of the Show Society, view and buy art, buy a train ticket and join a theatre group?

The GALA Centre, of course.
Changes have been happening and the Centre is forging ahead in new directions as well as providing valuable training and leisure courses and computer sales and service.

There are a few new faces at the GALA Centre with Nicola Fullagar now running the Uralla office and joining Rachel Butcher and Dorothy Lockyer to form the new team.

Nicola, Rachel and Dorothy can connect you to the world through the internet and email, take care of all your printing and photocopying needs, fix your computer or sell you a new one, teach you a new skill for your work or leisure time, and take your passport photo.

The Centre is now the secretary of the Guyra Show Secretary so you can pay your show memberships and later pick up your show schedules from the GALA Centre.

The Guyra theatre group, PACTA, will be working under the GALA umbrella. Their premiere performance was “Phantom of the Soap Opera” under the direction of Catherine Senftleben and since 2006 have put on a number of performances including “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe”, “Don’t Count Your Chickens” and in September 2008 produced the multi-media performance, “Ms Hardface is Not at Home”.
