Griffith University offers free online course in franchising

The Griffith University's Centre for Franchising Excellence (Asia-Pacific) is offering a free online education programme to help potential franchisees seal a deal. Funded by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), the course will help franchisees understand their franchising rights and obligations and will start in July.

The programme was brought upon by ACCC's research which revealed that 49% of franchisees sealed their deals by relying on their 'gut feeling', without making an informed decision.

The online education programme is delivered over five modules, each lasting 45 minutes. Participants can expect to understand franchise-related issues such as cash flow management, royalties and fees, disputes resolutions and intellectual property obligations.

Interested participants can pre-register their interest at the Griffith University’s Pre-Entry Online Franchising Education Programme webpage.
