They can provide specific information on matters such as tenancy agreements, electricity and telephone connection and the purchase/rental of household goods.
For example, in Brisbane the following accommodation options are available:
Rental accommodation - renting a house or apartment gives students the chance to live on their own, or live with friends and share costs. Rental costs vary for an apartment or house depending on its furnishings (if any), location, size and quality. Most rental properties in Brisbane are unfurnished.
Student houses - students get to enjoy shared amenities with roommates as well as the privacy of their own rooms. There is usually no bond or lease required, and the cost varies, depending on the facilities and the length of stay.
On-campus facilities
A wide range of on-campus facilities and services make student life at BNIT a comfortable and enjoyable experience. Each BNIT campus has its own extensive facilities, including Learning Hubs (libraries), computer laboratories, canteen, free on-campus parking and student counselling services. There are many restaurants and cafes at BNIT campuses, catering to all palates and budgets. ATM machines are also available at all BNIT campuses.
