Certificate IV Courses

A Certificate IV is a nationally-recognised qualification designed to help students take on more of a guidance and leadership role at work. Certificate IV qualifications show an employer that the potential worker can use their knowledge and experience to respond effectively to new situations or unpredictable problems.

A Certificate IV is the highest level of Certificate you can study, following on from Certificate I, Certificate II and Certificate III. Many Certificate IV courses have a prerequisite of a completed Certificate III before being able to enroll. Students who have completed a Certificate IV can go on to study a Diploma or Advanced Diploma.

What skills will I learn in a Certificate IV?

Studying a Certificate IV means you will learn a broad theoretical knowledge base, as well as learn all new skills. You will be able to identify and analyse information, apply solutions to a range of obstacles, and be responsible for your own work standards as well as limited responsibility for others work. Graduates of the Certificate IV will also graduate with the ability to cope with a range of unpredictable problems.

Students of the Certificate IV training certificate will undertake a range of assessment, depending on which course and topics you are covering. Assessment may range from practical assessments, to oral or written tests, or a final examination at the end of the course. Depending on their performance, students will then be awarded either a Distinction, Credit or Pass.

Also, students are required to complete all units with at least a pass grade or they will not receive their Certificate at the conclusion of their course.
Students can apply for recognition of prior knowledge prior to enrolling in a Certificate IV, and be allowed to sit out certain units, providing they have the knowledge already.
